Day 356 - What's Next for Lawrence?

Day 356.

As we approach the final days of the Lawrence/Julie & Julia Project, people have been asking me, "What's next?" What's next for Lawrence, of the Lawrence/Julie & Julia Project?

And I haven't had an answer to that question. Because I'm too busy watching Julie & Julia to think about it. I'll tell ya what--here's what's definitely not next for me:
  1. Watching Julie & Julia ever again.
  2. Writing a new blog where I have to watch the same movie every fucking day of every fucking year.
  3. Watching any movie with an ampersand in it. Sorry, Marley & Me.
  4. Eating any type of food seen in Julie & Julia. It'd just conjure up bad feelings Dammit, I guess I'll never enjoy an artichoke again...
  5. Enjoying an Amy Adams performance in any movie. J&J just had to preemptively ruin the Muppets for me.
  6. Writing a new blog that caters almost exclusively to middle-aged married women who like to cook.
  7. Skipping homework and social events to take screenshots of a movie I've seen over a hundred times.
  8. Getting reader email, googling their names and seeing if they're cute or 40 years old (or both!)
  9. Writing a new blog about some other movie based on a book about a blog about a book.
  10. Finding a girlfriend.
So that's what I won't be doing once this whole thing is over--what my internet presence post-L/J&J is going to be is still up in the air, I suppose. But don't worry, the-four-fans-I-have-out-there-who-are-reading-this, I'm sure I will have some sort of derivative follow-up internet blog site coming your way soon.

In ONE minute. But not really.
What will it be? Who knows? I've got some pretty stupid ideas I've been tossing around in that head of mine, but they're all pretty bad. Then again, the idea for this blog was pretty bad too and you all seemed to sort of like it. Feel free to leave some suggestions below. And maybe I'll revisit the annals of this site on occasion and make some jokes about Not Mark Ruffalo. You know, for old times' sake. But probably not.

One thing's for sure though--I just love the sound of my voice way too much to give up blogging altogether (and yes, that does make sense, because I read each post aloud to myself as I type it. Duh.).

  4. I legit got sad thinking about how this blog would be ending. Maybe you could do something crazy like turn it into a blog where you write up movies that you actually *like*. Or, at least recreate them with funny wigs?

  5. I will be sad when this blog ends, as I have enjoyed your slow dissent into insanity. But it will be nice to see you moving on to other "projects".

  7. I really want you to write a blog about the therapy that you have to go through after this is over. Or perhaps a blog about masturbation. God knows you do a lot of that.
