There's a lot of talk of boning ducks in Julie & Julia. Madame Broussard asks Julia if she knows how to bone a duck, Julie Powell freaks out to her husband about having to bone a duck, and at the very end of the movie, Julie Powell finally bones a duck. It's like a pretty big deal or something. I don't really know--I've been checked out of this movie for awhile now...
I hate to admit this, but... well... I've never boned a duck. I mean, not that I wouldn't bone a duck, but I just haven't had the opportunity to... or rather, I've had the opportunity, but I don't know, it just didn't feel right for some reason. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but I want my first time to be... I don't know, special or something. And well, to be honest? Well I just haven't found the right duck yet.
That is, until today...
I'D BONE THE SHIT OUT OF THIS DUCK.

I remain unconvinced that that is a duck in that picture.
