Day 153 - The Stunt Blog

Day 153.

People often say to me, "Hey Lawrence! What if they made a movie out of your blog? It could be called Lawrence & Julie & Julia!" to which I usually respond, "Well that would probably be the worst movie ever." But that's only because I'm assuming Nora Ephron would write and direct it. Nowadays, people are starting to realize that movies about websites don't necessarily have to be boring.

Seeing as The Social Network was one of my favorite movies from last year, I thought it'd be kind of funny to take some creative liberties and imagine what The Lawrence/Julie & Julia Project's origin story might be like if it was written by Aaron Sorkin.

If you haven't seen The Social Network, at least watch this awesome trailer so you can get an idea of the tone I'm going for.

So yeah, I ended up writing a lot more than I had originally planned, so I hope you guys enjoy it. Keep in mind that I took a lot of artistic license with the original material. While some names and characters may bear similarities to actual person(s), the characters are entirely fictional representations and should not be confused with real-life people or events.

Also, a lot of the dialogue is ripped directly from Aaron Sorkin's original screenplay of The Social Network. So, uhhh, don't sue me.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present the first draft of the movie adaptation of the Lawrence/Julie & Julia Project:

THE STUNT BLOG
The Stunt Blog

I hope you guys had fun reading that--I know I enjoyed writing it. Please, leave your feedback in the comments or shoot me an email at lawrenceandjulieandjulia@gmail.com. If there are any movie producers out there reading this, you know where to find me.
